| Start of with a random shot of the new paint with the disassembled Alpine CD changer waiting on the grass... 
Don't have any pics of the changer in it's old location... It was in this corner and sitting upright out in the open... ugly. 
The only places I've heard of cd changers going is in the hatch somewhere like mine... on the ledge behind the seats... and on the panel behind the seats sitting at a slight angle. I wanted mine totally hidden and the only place I could think of was where the headlight aimers are stored... 
This is why the case was off the cd player... it was going to be a tight fit... But it just fits... I was even able to the case put back on... and the cd cartridge is still removable. 
It was wedged in there so tight that driving around didn't move it at all... but there was part of a bolt sticking through that had just enough thread showing that I was able to use one of the old brackets to help hold it in place. 
The only piece I had to remove was the top portion of the cd changer... here's a size comparison with the cover in place...
